September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Help Us Reach Our $20,000 Goal

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian men, and for Black men, the risk is even higher. Research shows that Black men are significantly more likely to be diagnosed and die from prostate cancer. Too often, stigma, silence, and lack of awareness stop men from getting the care they need.

The Walnut Foundation is breaking that silence. This September, during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, we are calling on our community to step up, spread the word, and save lives.

Why Your Donation Matters

Behind every statistic is a father, brother, or friend whose life can be changed by early action. Your generosity gives Black men and their families hope, strength, and the chance for healthier futures.

Too often, stigma and silence prevent men from speaking openly about their health. This short film shows how your support helps create safe spaces where Black men can connect, share experiences, and access life-saving information.

  • Every dollar raised helps fund education, awareness campaigns, and community outreach that empower men to talk about prostate cancer openly.
  • Your support helps us connect Black men and their families to early detection, screening resources, and survivor networks.
  • Together, we can change outcomes,  because early action saves lives.

Our goal:

$20,000 by September 30

Your donation today brings us closer to ensuring that no man suffers in silence. Whether you give $25, $50, $100, or more, your generosity fuels hope, awareness, and action.
