Our Mission
Helping to make a difference in Men’s Health and Wellness.
We are a Men’s Health Interest and Prostate Support Group working with the Black Community in identifying the needs of Black Men in the areas of health and related issues; and to provide a forum for discussion in a comfortable, safe and supportive environment.
EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES, CAUGHT EARLY YOU HAVE OPTIONS. CAUGHT LATE YOU HAVE NO OPTIONS
Black Men Are...
more likely to get
prostate cancer
more likely to die
from it
and the biggest problem of all is many men don't get checked until it's too late...
If detected LATE, the
survival rate drops to
at 5 years
but if detected EARLY, survival is nearly
100%

YOU are NOT alone.
Many men feel alone and afraid thinking about illnesses. Some believe that you are not a “real man” for going to a doctor to get screened. Some think that ignoring it makes the problem go away. But this is NOT true.
1 in 9 men in Canada will develop prostate cancer and 1 in 29 will die from it. These rates are also higher in men of West African and Caribbean descent. This issue matters and can be prevented.
Taking ownership of your health is a sign of strength. Talking about it with others is important. There are other men who have walked the same path and are willing to share their journeys.
